Overview

TarkovMonitor is a desktop application by The Hideout team that watches Escape from Tarkov log files and can automatically mark completed quests in TarkovTracker. It also provides audio notifications, local statistics, and optional Tarkov.dev website integration.

Getting Started

    Download TarkovMonitor

    Download the latest Windows release ZIP from the official GitHub Releases page.

    Extract and launch

    Extract the archive to a permanent folder, then run TarkovMonitor.exe. Do not run it directly from inside the ZIP file.

    Connect your TarkovTracker account

    In TarkovMonitor settings, open the TarkovTracker integration section. Create a read-write API token in TarkovTracker Settings, then paste it into TarkovMonitor.

    Play with TarkovMonitor open

    Play normally while TarkovMonitor stays open. When the game writes a supported quest-completion event to its logs, TarkovMonitor can mark that quest complete in TarkovTracker.

Troubleshooting

Progress is not syncing

Confirm the API token is read-write, has not expired, and that TarkovMonitor is running the latest release.

Earlier progress is missing

Use Read Past Logs in Initial Setup, then choose the correct wipe and profile breakpoint.

Game mode looks wrong

Match your TarkovTracker game mode setting to the mode you are playing, either PvP or PvE.

Tips & Tricks

  • Generate a read-write API token in TarkovTracker settings. A read-only token cannot update progress.
  • Normal monitoring only processes new logs written while TarkovMonitor is running.

Common Questions

Is TarkovMonitor safe to use?

TarkovMonitor watches the log files that Escape from Tarkov writes locally. It does not read game memory, and the logs are not updated while a raid is in progress. Any third-party tool carries some risk, so use it at your own discretion.

Does TarkovMonitor work with PvE mode?

Yes. It supports both PvP and PvE. Match your TarkovTracker game mode setting to the mode you are playing.

Do I need TarkovMonitor to use TarkovTracker?

No. TarkovTracker works fully with manual input. TarkovMonitor only automates supported progress updates.
